For a lot of us, rejection is the hardest thing because you amplify that rejection as somehow being a reflection of who you are and what, what makes you you.
And for me, when I got that no from NASA, it was certainly the case because that was this childhood dream that suddenly was there and then slipped through my fingers.
And when I flipped the way I was thinking about that rejection, um, everything changed.
I- maybe I'm not gonna be an astronaut up there, but I could still advance human space flight down here." And that's when I pivoted and became an analog astronaut.
You know, if you went outside, you had to wear a space suit, and it was fully funded by NASA.
And I started doing that as my way of dealing with the fact that I would never necessarily be a NASA astronaut and go to space.
