Fighting to Be Mediocre

We, we said we don't wanna go into all those, but at the same time, it's what we have in common, so we might as well start there.

My gripes with the firearms industry.

It tries really hard to be welcoming.

I'm not talking your places.

I'm talking the industry as a whole.

Correct.

It tries hard to be welcoming.

Yeah.

Um, there, there's campaigns done by trade associations.

There's campaigns done trying to get new people into shooting, which is awesome.

But when I really talk to people, neighbors, friends of friends, you know, I'm the de facto gun guy in our circle of friends-

100%, yeah

... right? And oh, talk to them about doing this.

The, the misnomers, the misunderstanding that people have about guns is one thing, but the other is I, I feel like they're f- afraid of guns if they don't know it.

Yeah.

Their, their ignorance makes them fearful.

I think guns should be treated with respect.

I mean, you and I have both worked kind of careers around firearms.

Mm-hmm.

And so far I don't have any extra holes in my body, and that's because I treat them with respect and safely, and there's a way to do it.

Um- But go into the average gun shop.

I'm not talking Gunfighter Canyon.

Yeah.

I'm talking the average gun shop when you're in a town.

I've had friends say, "Oh, I love traveling and going into local gun shops." I don't.
