And then from there, I went to Fort Benning, Georgia, to Fort Airborne School.

That was crazy as well because when you go to Airborne School, you go with Marines, Recon, soon-to-be Marines, soon-to-be Green Beret, soon-to-be, um, Rangers.

They, they approached me to be a Green Beret.

They approached me to be a Ranger.

I said, "Hey, I just wanna be a paratrooper for now.

Um, I don't wanna hit the, the Tan Berets or the Green Berets." Tan Berets are Rangers.

The Green Berets are Special Forces operations.

Mm-hmm.

Uh, but we did end up training about a million soldiers, family members, and, uh, Army civilians, you know, over, over a course of 10 years.

And that just sent me on this whole journey of, of, you know, hey, how can I take these psychological offense and psychological defense principles and, and apply them to elite populations? So, um, from there, I had the opportunity to go work with Green Berets.

I spent five years with elite Special Forces units.

Mm.

Ridiculous.

This is a short clip, and of course you've heard me say this a million times, but it's just well said by Chris Matterson about the escalation with the former head of the National Counterterrorism Center and highly decorated 11-tier Green Beret and CIA commando who lost his wife in Iraq.

Syria, but we don't need to listen to him.

He's just been proven right 200 days in completely.

Talk to us about from your perspective, having been in the Pentagon that day, what, where you think we're at?

Well, first I'd say just as a memory of, As a special forces officer, because that was my specialty in the Army as a Green Beret, I didn't ever expect to go to war wearing my polyester dress pants and my patent leather parade shoes.

I thought I was going to wear all my cool guy Green Beret kit.

And suddenly I'm doing it right there in the Pentagon and around it on the grounds.

That was kind of a shock.

Everybody else hates them.

So the people are there, but they don't have the means.

And this is a classic circumstance where you would deploy special operators, not just Green Berets, but some of our cousins in the other services and even in the intel community.
