Okay, so we find ourselves at the end of Colossians chapter 3, and Paul has been giving godly instruction to wives, to husbands, to children, and to fathers.
Thirdly, why is he not addressing their masters? and telling the masters to let them go.
Why does he not do that? I mean, the Bible is a good book, right? So why didn't he do that? Well, let's talk about that for a moment because people typically have a lot of objections to the Bible sometimes because of this very thing.
And for as long as there's been a man with a sin nature, there's been a slave somewhere.
And even before that, when you look at Genesis chapter 6, and it says that man's thoughts in verse 5, man's thoughts were only evil continually.
So then people are going to do what people do in their most evil moments, and they enslave each other.
You knew that, right? I mean, there's some $25 billion made on human trafficking every year.
And in some countries, it's even encouraged and people take others as their slaves.
And we know that in the book of Revelation, in chapter 17 and 18, that human trafficking is going to be a major way that people make money during Antichrist's reign.
In fact, I'll just give you that verse here, just so you're not going, where's that, Jeff? Where's trafficking mentioned here? Let me just turn in my Bible and find it for you.
