Every bottle has a story, and this episode traces one of the biggest: how a 2,000-year-old exile ended up rebuilding one of the world's most exciting wine regions. Daniel and Alana dig into the…
One
of the things that we love talking about that people ask us about all the time is about the very first miracle that Jesus did in scripture.
And I'm sure everyone already knows it's listening.
But if you don't know, Jesus' first miracle was he turned water into wine at a wedding.
And it's an amazing story.
If you haven't read it recently, go read it.
The master of ceremonies of the banquet at the wedding said, basically made a declaration saying that this wine, you know, in other weddings, they give out the good wine first, and then when everyone is well drunk and have had their fill, they bring out the cheaper wine.
But in this case, the wine that Jesus turned into from water, it was the best wine, and it was so good that it was worthy of raising glass to.
So we get that question all the time.
What was that wine?
We don't know.
We don't have that answer yet.
We're on the journey.
Like we said earlier, we're on the journey.
Trying to figure it out.
We
really want to figure that one out, right? Was it a particular grape? Was it something from heaven that doesn't exist on the earth? We don't know.
I don't know.
I
don't
know.
We have archaeological evidence that proves that, and I won't go too deep into that on this episode.
We'll do that in a different episode, so make sure you stay tuned for that.
