\# Your AI Agent Does Not Need an API. It Needs a Login.## Guest IntroductionI'm joined by Furqan Kidwai, Co-Founder & CEO of Plouton AI, which builds AI finance co-workers for mid-market CFO teams. A…
And we basically help your finance function to move faster and to become more efficient and more productive.
How do we do that? AI finance co-workers, that really speeds up your work, that really improves your accuracy, efficiency, and productivity within the CFO office of any organization.
Like, is it a product for CFOs or the CFO office itself? And how did you choose that route of becoming a co-pilot in the enterprise side, at least Microsoft is struggling pushing its co-pilot?
So in today's day and age, co-pilots aren't just restricted to giving you analysis or recommendations.
When we say co-workers or co-pilots, we usually refer to as co-executors who help you execute the entire function from point A to point B without needing co-workers or co-pilots.
So when we started our first venture and we went to a scale, this was a personal problem that we also faced while we were scaling.
We saw a lot of back office functions that were really highly redundant, whether it is related to your payroll laws, whether it is related to your reconciliations, your account receivables.
So within the CFO office, not for CFO, but within the CFO office, a lot of it was not the tools because the tools that are designed for finance are much more capable of the tasks they're designed to do.
like Xero, NetSuite, QuickBooks, and any other ERP tools that are designed for certain functions.
But it's the communication layer between the tools that really enforces, especially enterprise finance teams to move manually.
So it really takes a lot of manual effort and a lot of redundancy within those teams.
And because of those manual executions, we see a lot of errors, we see a lot of manual, what we call delays, and a lot of productivity is being lost.
So that is where we saw an opportunity and we saw why don't we build something which execute from point A to point B without needing to download manually files or uploading files from one platform to another platform but then we stuck into another problem uh when we because we were uh dealing because even when we were dealing we were mid-market company and after our first startup we did a lot of consultancies through mid-market enterprises so we saw common pattern across mid-market enterprises that they were using dozens of tools like some e-app to portal some some finance tools but the problem was these portals were mostly web-based portals and they didn't uh always support ap infrastructure because they would be using some internal base erp tools or some third-party erp tools some basic finance tools and these tools doesn't really have the ap infrastructure doesn't really support the ap infrastructure so that is where a lot of api first tools were lacking and a lot of api first schools weren't being onboarded by these mid-market enterprises It really started working really well back in late 2024, early 2025.
And they really need to do the execute the task from point A to point B without needing to manually download.
They execute the work just like and make just like your best finance associates or best junior associates.
