And I remember being just fascinated by the size and the luxury of it and the fact that there was... you know, my small brain didn't comprehend a cruise ship at the time.

So this is probably like the first, you know, big ship I learned about and, uh, you know, eventually went on a Disney cruise and I was like, Oh my God, it's, these are real.

But just the idea of like, there's a gym and all these fancy dining locations and all these like fancy people wearing their fancy clothes and their big hats and their furs.

And there was a car on board and like, something about the luxury and the just grandness of it and the, like the beauty of it lured me in.

And then also something about the like tragedy of the whole thing lured me in as a kid, that kind of morbid curiosity we all have of like, how does this happen? And what would that be like? And, I think the idea as a kid, too, the image that we see in the movie or you've seen in simulations, like the idea of a ship sinking and raising out of the water like that is so gargantuan.

I don't think I could understand it, but I read as much as I could to find out about it.
I think that's one of the reasons that kind of stay, it does stay kind of a common language for everybody is I think our brains can't really wrap our, they can't wrap around that actually happening or actually witnessing it.
And I also think it's because I think about this a lot because there weren't a lot of, there were some cameras on board, but it was such new technology.
There were even some people like, I mean, I'm going to sound 90 years old, but like taking video with like the crank.
I don't know all the lingo, but like none of that survived because it was so novel.
So I think it be happening right on the cusp of us having any actual record of it happening.
And then I've been watching so many of them with my kids for the last almost 12 years.
When you think about a movie like Lady and the Tramp, or you think about even Frozen...
So that sort of like luxury feel of so many of the stories are about kind of upper middle class or upper class people.
