Epcot

Florida weather.

Yeah, but we'd also have that conversation of like, oh, let's do the Epcot one.

So we're doing the fireworks, let's do the Epcot one, and then you went to book it, and then, ooh, ooh, no, no, computer says no moment.

And we're like, come on.

And we didn't know why

Yeah.

And I couldn't quite sort of put it together.

Because there was a party of us and because we were looking for an XL and things like that, but we were still paying day on day, even if we were going to the parks and Epcot in particular and going for beer and stuff like that.

And then we'll have the vlogger meet up to see Dainey at Splitsville in Disney Springs on Saturday.

And then we are going to go with her into Epcot.

And it's the food and wine fest.

Yeah.

The other one that gets too much hype, and I don't get it.

I've had it, and it was average, is the barbecue place in Epcot.

I think it's...

It's not even the best barbecue.

For me at Guardians, I always end up at Connections, which is never good for the wallet.

But, you know, there's a lot of other fun things that you can find for the kids to do.

You know, there's the indoor playground at Epcot.

You know, you can go shopping.

One of the through lines in the Parks presentation at D23 this year was a stronger connection between the new CEO and Park fans.

We've talked about this a little already in other episodes, particularly in the regards to the announcement that Epcot will finally receive a new version, and for the record, that's the fourth version for those who are counting, of Journey into Imagination.

And as I've mentioned, the first version of this attraction was one of the standout attractions back during Epcot's opening year.

And from there, with versions two and three, it became mostly a shadow of its former glory.

So even if there was no artwork presented at D23 for what a remade journey into imagination might look like, simply the promise that this attraction would be remade and that it would include both Dream Finder and Figment was a note directed at longtime fans.

It's obviously not on an American scale of like barbecue, but it's, you know, it's good for Disneyland Paris.

It's probably similar to like when I go to Epcot, I'm like, oh my gosh, the fish and chips.

Yeah.

Right.

But it's lovely because it's all new.

It's all fresh.

Remember when they were going to do something big at Epcot with Mary Poppins and then they didn't? Remember when Epcot

has all that space that they could be using and they don't? So you're like, hey, some more things are coming.

I don't know if Lou even remembers the first place we actually met in person.

Standing in line getting fish and chips in Epcot, I heard him.

I didn't see him.

I heard his voice.

Yeah, and you have to go to Disney World to see anything in Infinity Vision.

That's the only way to see Doomsday after this winter is, uh, in Epcot.

Um, anyhow-

Now, I didn't see all of the models and stuff like that.

I just found it interesting that it's going to be the same technology basically as Test Track, but now it's going to be in the Magic Kingdom as well as what they have over in Epcot with Test Track, which is why cars work so well in California because it wasn't the same exact ride.

It was... ride adjacent to Test Track, but it was also so much better because, you know, you have that one stretch where you do race the other car in California.

So I'm sure they're going to do something like that on this track as well.
