Is Jesus Real? With Alex McFarland

In Uncommon Teen, we are focusing on the theme being made free.

I was thinking about, obviously, we can't be made free if we haven't made Jesus the Lord of our life.

We can't be made free here on this earth if we don't know the truth of God's word.

John 8, 32 is the truth that we know that makes us free.

Really what sprung up in my spirit was Jesus is real.

That's a question that a lot of teens are asking today.

Is he real? Have you heard teens asking that question before?

Yeah, we really have.

And I'm like you, yes, emphatically, yes, Jesus is real.

In fact, if you let Jesus Christ come into your life and you commit to be a follower of Jesus, it is the most real reality in all of our lives.

But Jamie, we're in the middle of our youth camps that we do.

A lot of young people are asking different questions, you know, about life and what's this all about? It's really key that in john 14 6 jesus said he is the truth let's define truth truth is that which corresponds to reality in other words it's the way things really are and jesus is the truth for where we came from jesus is the truth for why we're here we really find the true answers in a relationship with jesus christ Some people are like atheists, and they, well, there is no God, and it doesn't really matter to them.

And other people are like, what's my purpose? Oh, I don't know.

Play games, do stuff, live, die, that's it.

But no, origin, purpose, destiny.

Where did I come from? Why am I here? Where will I be in eternity? Those...

longings of every human heart are found in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

So Jesus is real and he comes into our life when we ask him.

John 6 verse 37, Jesus said, the one who comes to me, I will in no way reject.

Isn't that an awesome verse? Because we've all sooner or later experienced some kind of rejection.

Jesus said, the one who comes to me, I will in no way reject.
