In this modern day of football, what's your opinion on who really wins games, offense or defense? Okay.
Well, man, being a defensive player, I mean, I'm kind of gonna go the other way here because I don't wanna catch up on a number of my fries.
If you get out in front, get out in front in today's game and um you have a pretty simple defensive scheme you can just get by on defense right you score a ton of points and i know everybody it's hard to score points in football we all know that but i truly believe that nowadays it's kind of it's like you know like this nba final series i'm watching i'm like the first two hundred you know that's kind of how i feel about it and um like at the high school level for sure you get some points on somebody And the offense is truly the unit that really runs the team today.
J-Mac, what about you? I think on a high school level, I think definitely offensively.
Early on, you'll see, and it's kind of similar across all playing fields, but at every level.
But what kind of ones, offenses start to figure out their identity and kind of get rolling.
I still think, though, in the big games, and I think the Super Bowl was kind of proof of that this past year.
Love what Seattle and New England did on defense with the blitzes, with the different zone combos, man, and the hybrid guys.
So I was really intrigued by, like, the defensive chess match that was going on in that big, big game.
But I think some of that is the refs letting them play, but I think the intensity is just on a different level.
So being an offensive guy, I think offense wins every game until you get to the big one.
And I think every defense gets off and not – it kind of imposes their will and not just get enough stops.
I think they've got to kind of impose their will, and I think that's kind of how I see it.
