What has transpired the last few days with the Mets, the fan reaction, and it almost feels like Mets fandom on some level has turned into, in the worst sort of way, Democrats and Republicans.

Like, we've gotten into this place where we have, like, fan on fan crime going on on social right now that is just so this thing that is still supposed to be joyous and fun in the season we don't have that much more baseball of the regular season and then who even knows if there's going to be probably a lockout of some sort and when we get back to baseball and it's like cherish these last games and it feels like we are you know eating our young right now

I think a lot of it has to do with the sort of social media-ification of life where it's the death of discourse.

And, Laurie, I don't say that from any high horse, and I think that's – maybe it's a part of the way I engage on Twitter, but that's something, and it's fine.

And I know the side of you that I've talked to in person at places like the Queens baseball convention.
