We're coming back, I guess, kind of later, Brian, than we normally would considering the preseason is over.
So I wanted to start with this really short preseason, which barely lasted a week.
Very odd segmenting of games and split squads.
What do you think of this new format for the preseason?
You know what? I was dubious at first.
I really didn't think I was going to like it.
And then I ended up really liking it.
I think logistically it just makes sense for the league.
Shorten that up, get to regular season play sooner.

But I'm kind of okay with that at this point.
When we were in seasons where, I don't know, there were like 12 players on the bubble because the entire team was basically a bubble, it really mattered who made it and who didn't.
And so the preseason was like we would watch every game and scout every player.
Now it was sort of just fun to watch hockey again and get back into it slowly, slowly.
And as we come up to the regular season, that's what the focus should be.
And so shortening this preseason, especially when you have 84 games in the regular, I think it's great.
I think it's fine.

Like we're all going to do a split squad home and home with each other.
