Owen Beck

He'll just skate it to center and fire it in as the Canadians get a line change.

Florian Jackaia with Oliver Kappen and Owen Beck.

The Habs have it at the line.

Here's Adam Engstrom.

Low shot turned away by Skinner.

DiMello behind the net.

Pursued by Owen Beck.

11-21 to go in the second period.

A lot to unpack there.

First period, 3-0-5, Owen Beck.

from Florian Jackey and Arbor Jackey.

18-18, Josh Anderson, his seventh.

That's what he's supposed to do, you know, go up against the tough guy on the other team.

I don't think he had a fight this year, so...

No, no, the Canadiens only had the Owen Beck fight on Saturday.

That's the only fighting major they had.

Here's Florian Jacki.

Or check that, that's Owen Beckfars' side.

He'll play it around for Florian Jacki.

And now Kapanen out of the corner.

You know, they get the early goal, like every team scores against the Winnipeg Jets.

This one is Owen Beck just, you know, three minutes into the game.

Then they get a late first period goal.

Then they get the two goals on the power play early in the second and early in the third.

Anderson finding the fountain of youth.

Even Owen Beck chipping in.

Everything felt like it was going right for this Montreal team.

But Jesse, I can't lie when I say I am purely in shock from what we just saw.

Juraj Slavkovski, some questionable decisions here or there, but two more assists tonight, 16 and a half minutes time on ice.

He's continuing to pick up the points.

You mentioned Owen Beck with his first goal of the season.

And of course, Cole Caulfield, like this team's problems are it's not goal scoring.

suck.

You know what upsets me about this loss more than ever is that I was so looking forward to talking about how Owen Beck keeps sending a message that he belongs in the NHL, even if it's a fourth-line position.

Because Owen Beck, that line of Beck and Florian and Kapanen, for some reason, it's an extremely young and green line as far as NHL

experience.

But they love playing together.

Even on a fourth-line role, they bring the energy when they have to.

It's two games now where Owen Beck is... is playing to some identity at the moment, along with Florian Jacka.

But Florian Jacka always had that identity.

Let's recap while we await the arrival of Morgan Barron, who certainly played a major role in helping out in this comeback.

Montreal took an early 1-0 lead when Owen Beck was set up after a scramble in the Winnipeg zone.

A couple chances to get the loose pucks in clear, couldn't do it.

Beck was able to rifle a wrist shot into the top far corner for his first goal of the season from the Jacque brothers, becoming just the ninth sets of brothers to assist on the same goal.

Beck out in front for Jack, a shoot! Stopped by Skinner, rebound, Winnipeg trying to sort it out.

They can't, went back toward the line.

Beck shoots and scores! Owen Beck with his second NHL goal.

Winnipeg just could not get possession to get it out.

They said they don't know if it's going to be Thursday or Saturday, but it's going to be really soon.

like latest is next week that's what it seems like to me latest he comes back is next week so i think owen beck has shown enough in the games he's been able to play that he should stay in the lineup for the love of god keep him in the lineup and i think that's like my final takeaway today

Yeah, Trinket says, love Texier on the Caulfield goal, keeping the puck in the zone.

I love Texier overall tonight.

Yeah, Jacob Fowler was standing on his head for stretches of this, and it just felt like it was going to be the same old story, except there was actually some quality play mixed in.

And the Habs, three minutes into this game, Owen Beck...

Snipes.

First ever goal.
