"'What is that?' Betty Hill pointed up behind her.
A large ball of white light was bright in the night sky.
She didn't see any other stars, just this one orb.
Barney looked in his rearview mirror.
"'I'm not sure.
It's been following us for the last few miles, though.' "'That's strange,' Betty commented as they continued down the road." Why don't you take this little road, see where it goes, she suggested.
Barney yanked the wheel to the right to make the turn, and to their surprise, the ball of light followed them.
Look, there's more of them, Betty pointed out as more orbs surrounded their car.
Barney hummed for a few seconds, then said, Might just be a satellite that veered too far off course.
think so can you pull over here she asked and he complied he steered the car over to the side of the road slowly and put it into park the pair got out of the car and went around to the back to get a better look at the lights they were bright much too bright to be a star or even a satellite like Barney had said but a yap drew their attention back to the car oh my poor baby did you need to go potty Betty opened the door and let Delcy her dachshund out Barney got his binoculars and tried to get a better look, but he noticed that the lights were moving erratically now and towards them.
"'Get back in the car, Betty,' Barney instructed, trepidation in his voice.
She wasted no time loading their pup and herself back into the car, and they sped away.
They tried to ignore the lights, and much to their relief, they seemed to be getting further away the more they drove.
A few hours later, Barney felt safe enough to stop for another break." As the trio got out to stretch their legs, Barney once again reached for his binoculars.
Oh my, he exclaimed as he tracked the lights and watched in horror as they switched directions and headed straight for them, fast.
Betty, get back in the car, he yelled as the lights landed right in front of them.
It was the last thing they remembered.
Creepy.
