Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Uh, but this is Brent Friedman again talking about his relationship or a story that he knows about Steven Spielberg allegedly being handed, uh, Naval intelligence for his films.

Close Encounters is based on a true story.

Tobe Hooper is the director of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the director of Poltergeist, and you were scouting locations.

So we are in an area called New Hall Ranch.

And I go, "What do you mean? Why?" And he goes, "After Jaws, he, you know, he was like really a big deal, and he, he apparently he got approached by some guys from Naval Intelligence or something, and they came and offered him a deal.

And he, he, you know, he got, he got all sorts of information.

I mean, Close Encounters is based on a true story." And I was like, "What?"

Um, he talks about Close Encounters of the Third Kind in his book and how Every one of Steven Spielberg movies is paid for by whatever agency or government, and he will never lose money, and if he loses money on any movie, they will pay him for it.

Like, our grandfather said all this.

And so, uh, lo and behold, what's about to come out in, in a few days is called Disclosure Day with Steven Spielberg.

Now, it's interesting when you hear him...

He was interviewed about the movie, and back in, and when he was talking about Close Encounters, he was like, "Wouldn't it be great one day if we all, you know, could, you know, think of that, of this being a possible reality, of all of us actually, you know, coming in agreement that, like, this could be our future if we so, you know, let it be, you know? Or that we'd have this technology, whatever it might be, interact with other beings." And then in this interview that he did, he said basically, now it, it's needs to be known that everything in these movies is the truth.

Like, this is basically-- We're at the point where everything happening and what he's saying in the movie is where we're at today.

Right.

It was before the internet, so I was actually driving home at, like, 2:00 in the morning, and nobody had cell phones either.

And everybody was pulled over on the side of the road, and there was a big ship, and I equate it to the ship from th- uh, Encounters of, Close Encounters of Third Kind, which I didn't actually watch that movie till a few years ago.

So th- those are kind of experiences that have come up since I've been working, you know, on different podcasts and working with the UFO community, like, I've remembered all of this.

But fast-forward to I was guided to start working on my mission in 2016.

I don't know why I'm getting Close Encounters vibes here, so let me go Steven Spielberg.

Definitely not Close Encounters, but that's just where I'm feeling.

And, you know, I've looked at what's happening or I'm starting to now look at what's happening between the storyteller and the reader or watcher in this case because we're watching movies.

Now, so far this season, I've looked at the physics in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, which is a science fiction movie.

And time travel in a children's horror movie, which was Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.

And just like these movies, Say Anything starts in the contemporary world and the contemporary world for that particular movie, right? And when it's filmed.

And to me, I had n- I'm not a, like a big UFO person, never thought about UFOs.

I'd never seen Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

I was just not interested, right? So this was not a thing for me.

So but I, I'm a researcher, so I would take this, these, um...
