This episode has been sitting in the vault for two years, and we’re finally getting to share it with you. We’re so grateful to The Bucket List Family for joining us and for allowing us to share this…
I feel like a big theme in your content is like, and your approach to parenting seems to be like teaching them to be smart, but also to be fearless.
kind of talk more about like that approach to parenting whereas I feel like a lot of social media parenting seems to be fear driven yeah and like yours seems to be very counter to that so totally expand more on that
and like it's funny probably sitting here listening to us being like crocodiles and snakes and all this you know like we're so used to that but I don't want people to think that I'm just this like I don't care mom like I have every single fear and if you hear me in the boats or where we are, I'm like, put your hand in, get over this way.
I'm scared and I have every single rational fear that a mom does, but at the same time, I'm not gonna shelter my kids from seeing the world.
And we're gonna do it together and we're very safe and we are very conscientious about everything that we're doing and where we're at and what we're doing.
It's one of my joys of like being the man behind the camera is filming her and witnessing her be like a regular mom, but in like extraordinary situations.
One of my favorites is when we took the kids cage diving with great white sharks and the gaps in this cage were big enough and our child was small enough that there was like definitely the ability for them just to like float out and to see her just like grabbing our child and pulling him back and then he felt like he was floating like an astronaut in his words so he just kept jumping off the bottom and then like kind of floating out the cage and she would grab him back and like she's like mothering our child but within this cage surrounded by great white sharks like those type of scenarios to me are so funny because again we consider ourselves like regular parents but these situations are pretty crazy
i would say there was a tv show Maybe like two years ago that I watched it.
It was on like ABC.
I don't know if you saw.
I can't remember the name of it.
But basically they took maybe 16 different types of parenting.
And they kind of pigeonholed every parent.
We saw that.
Did you see this? Yes.
It was
yeah.
But they like gave every parent like a name.
