ago, I wake up and I hear this voice in my head go, oh, you're going to create a conscious dance for gay men.

And I'm like, no, I fucking am not.

I have no idea what I'm doing.

And the voice is like, yeah, you do.

That's what you're going to do.

And for a good three to four months, that voice did not shut the fuck up.

Every morning, every afternoon, morning, noon, and night, it's like in my consciousness.

Eventually, I just decide I need to shut this voice up.

I just need to do this.

So I set up an evening in a venue, and I'm like, right, I'm just going to – I learned to DJ two weeks before doing this because I need to know how to spin a tune.

I can't just play a Spotify playlist.

So ADHD, get on YouTube, learn how to DJ, pretty good.

By the time I'm doing this event, the morning of my first ever Pleasure Medicine, I had four people booked.

I thought, cringe, I'm not doing it for four people.

The voice is like, you're doing it.

And I'm like, okay, okay, I'm doing it.

By the time the doors opened, there were 12 guys booked.

So I'm like, okay, this is a thing people want.

I do it, get really good feedback.

And then basically I've been doing it every two weeks since then.

And it has evolved and shifted and grown.

So initially I just do it to shut this voice up.

I'm like, I don't have any desire or any, I don't want to create community at that point.
