So I'm guessing, you know, this is a relatively niche area, I think, of our field, certainly the assessment component.

But maybe let's set some background, kind of set the stage for the conversation.

I think the best one that is a little more on the comprehensive side is from Diana Kenney, who

wrote the book, which I have over there, on performance anxiety with musicians.

Was, I think she's retired now, but was at University of Australia, Sydney for decades, undoubtedly.

And in her 2011 book, she says MPA is this, MPA short for music performance anxiety.

It is the experience of persistent tension, you know, apprehension about music performance that's marked by, you know, you've got the Barlow triple vulnerabilities model.

You know, you've got these vulnerabilities, you know, people are more likely to go on to develop it when you have those vulnerabilities in place, whether it's genetic vulnerability, you know, from your mom and dad.

Or early life experiences that just set you up to be a little bit more, you know, cautious or concerned about control over your environment or predictability of the environment.

You know, these are the early vulnerabilities as well as a conditioned life event.
