do not look into diversifying your revenue until you have a full practice or maybe until at least you're 80 full and i don't in a black and white way agree with that because you know number one again full is different for everyone but number two there are so many ways to earn income out there as a therapist that are related to therapy and that are completely non-related to therapy.
Amanda BudurisHOST
5:10
So whether you're a therapist who can offer CEUs or do trainings or wants to coach other therapists or coach an entirely other different population, there are so many skills that you can offer someone that I remember a therapist I was working with a couple of years ago was like, my SEO is doing great for bringing people in for my specific thing, But my niche is so niche and there's not a lot of people that offer it that I am getting potential clients from out of state saying, can we work together? And because of licensure laws and restrictions, we can't.
Amanda BudurisHOST
5:46

Even though my caseload is not full by the standard definition of full, is that okay? Is that what's going to work for me? And we had this conversation around, it sounds like in some ways you are actually actively turning away money right now because you're you've been following this guidance of you're supposed to wait till X until you can expand and add coaching.

And I watch your lineage of education from experts that I truly admire and who are aging out of the industry, people who help write policy, from people who have been doing this for their entire life.
Brit SastrawidjayaHOST
1:29
and know that you've spanned the arborist world from being a contract climber and doing the largest removals that most wouldn't put their own guys in, doing tree competitions and sitting in conferences and spending the time actually learning and educating yourself through massive amounts of CEUs and actually just showing up to do better and have the data.
Brit SastrawidjayaHOST

I'm curious about those early days when you were learning from somewhere else, and then it sounds like your education over the years of CEUs and studying and keeping up with the latest things, what's changed in your understanding or your mindset, either from what was given to you to start with or where you started and then have evolved? Where do you find yourself now compared to before in your thinking around tree issues? I know that's a huge question, but I'm really curious, because nothing's static.
Bethany RydmarkHOST
