When these cards that we're looking at, the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, when they were getting built, when they were getting designed, a lot of the influence came from occult things.

It came from occult readings.

There is Masonic influences.

The SRA had these manuscripts called the Cypher manuscripts.

I think there were like 60 of them, and they were essentially magic... initiation rituals and incantations.

It was a lot of stuff to do with occult practice around the elements.

So like fire, earth, air, water and all that.

And, you know, the history of them, the lineage of them is still kind of a little bit shady.
