Is your life set up to handle all the things you’re responsible for? What if I told you that it’s possible to build a life that not only supports the season you’re in now, but everything you’ve been…
Chrystal Evans HurstHost[upbeat music] So last week we talked a lot about your season and knowing where you are and understanding how important it is for you to, um, honor the season that you're in.
And, um, because this week I wanna talk to you about building, I, I just need to re- uh, restate this.
So if you have not done the work to really identify, like you gotta be able to say, "I'm in a season of building.
I'm in a season of, of, of being unseen." Go ahead and identify the season.
If you identify it wrongly, he can correct it, but I need you to think about your life in seasons.
It's not just because I have a senior that's gonna go to high school or go to his senior year in high school next year, it's also because my husband isn't well.
So there are cer- there are shifts in my life where it's like, okay, I'm freer to do some things and less free to do other things.
Um, my season is shifting because we've been organized as a team in a certain way, and I'm was working early this morning on some retitling and re-shifting of some things.
I am in a season of shifting because some things with my body and my health are non-negotiable.
So what's gonna have to change in my schedule? 'Cause what I am doing to deal with those things is not handling those things, and so I've gotta make more room to do what I need to do to make sure that that's handled.
There, there's some things have to shift, and I recognize my season, I recognize my shift, but I've gotta know where I am.
Y- you can't even find, when you're lost on the road, you don't even know where to start with getting back on the road in the right direction if you don't even know why you're here, which is why when you go to a mall, they have a little red dot that says, "You are here." 'Cause what good does the map do if you don't even know where you're standing? So we talked about a season and we talked about what that means and how that should affect where you're going.
Your container has to be built in a way that it can hold what God wants to place in your hands, and your container has to do with your schedules, has to do with your boundaries, it has to do with your attention, it has to do with your money, it has to do with your energy, your emotions, your home, your, the rhythms that you have with your people, with work, 'cause God is not just interested in giving you more, he's interested in helping you become a woman who can actually steward more.
