Hadley PerkinsGuestI think it's really interesting that you had to ride that wave as well during the labour.
yeah, that feeling and just like that sense of like, oh, my God, this is real and it's another night.
Like there's this infinite responsibility with a child, isn't there? Like and that's part of this big step up as a human to become a parent is this like, No one's coming.

And do you know what? Like I think deep down it comes from this like, I don't know, this inner child wound or something where it's like, save me you know or like help

or i'm not capable enough to do it on my own and i really felt like in the birth and in the in the labor i needed people around me to help me through and i think what was going on for me with postpartum was you know coming into those nights Obviously, in those early months and early times, it's mostly the mother throughout the nights because I'm breastfeeding.

So coming into those nights, it was like, okay, this is on me and I'm going to be doing it alone with my baby.

It was so interesting what came up because I was doing this thing where – We would all be sleeping in bed and she was in our co-sleeper right next to me on the side of the bed.

And when she woke up throughout the night, I would take her and myself out to the living room and sit on a chair in the living room and feed her there and change her nappy on the bed on the floor that we still had there from the birth.

I remember walking up to the postpartum group just crying, just crying with a baby in my arms, just saying something's not right.

And it was so interesting because what came up where the mums were saying to me, don't leave the bed.
