The rum that ended up winning the people's choice vote was, uh, Brugal Extra Dry, which I think between the two of us, John, we probably went to eight different liquor stores across the Nashville-
So we were unable to source it, so you ended up grabbing, uh, Barceló Blanco, which is a- another Dominican Republic rum.
Um, and really like the, the thing that I think made us maybe a little hesitant about it is that it is, like all Barceló products, a cane juice rum, which, you know, classic daiquiri, cane juice rum.
Why did we put it here? Ultimately, if you've tasted Barceló products before, um, they're very much not like in the style of a rhum agricole or something like that.
It's, the- their distillation really strips out a lot of that cane flavor, um, where I would honestly say it's much closer to a molasses rum in terms of like that kinda clean profile as opposed to cane juice.
