When do we get offensive linemen coming in here and being, what, Laramie Tunsil? You know, Tunsil, Pouncey, Vernon Carey, probably the three, right? Like, Vernon was solid here early on, too.

If anybody remembers the University of Miami right tackle, Vernon Carey.

He started out right tackle, now right guard, right? He was right tackle.

the amount of money Adidas has put into local south Florida high school, uh, athletics, and they basically put billions of dollars in resources into sponsoring local south Florida high school athletes and teams down here in the south Florida market, which is the best south Florida high sc- or, or high school sports market in the country.

And he was making the delineation of they've put so much money down here that there's no way they'll lose the University of Miami, that they'll make it an absolute priority.

Um, that didn't happen, but I am surprised that ultimately Nike invested this much money into the Miami brand.

In case you missed it, I'm sure you haven't if you're a big Canes fan, but the University of Miami, according to the Miami Herald and Barry Jackson, expected to return to Nike, leaving Adidas for a 10-year deal next season that's worth more than $200 million.

Makes, uh, Victor Bermudez very happy.

He's always been a Canes guy, but he's a Nike guy.

And how this happened is pretty amazing, okay? So, according to Barry Jackson, again, great reporting in the Miami Herald.

You know, some time ago, probably months ago, former athletic director Dan Radakovich, who retired in June – He had recommended to President Joe Echevarria, University of Miami president, that Miami sign an extension with Adidas that had been offered earlier this year.

But President Joe was not convinced by that deal.

Now, remember, Joe Echevarria, former CEO, so he's wired that way, where... you present him a deal if he doesn't think that deal is good enough he's going to make sure it is or it isn't and he's going to find a better deal so i think we're very lucky to have university president like joe echeveria who's so savvy with this kind of stuff so president joe consulted with board of trustees chairman manny cadre who is instrumental in this and cadre he went to Nike and helped broker this new record deal.

I want to thank the ACC for giving us this fine start of the schedule, putting us on Friday night twice, and then I think Miami put themselves on Thursday.

But, you know, I'm not for Friday night football, Frank, at the University of Miami.

If the ACC wants Miami to be like Ohio State and Texas and Alabama, those schools don't play on Thursdays and Fridays, and neither should Miami.

Yeah, well said, Joe.
