159: Kate Perry's Next Chapter + Looking Back on 9 Years at Velier

All right, we are here with Kate Perry, the national manager for La Maison Avelier in the American market.

Kate, I have a trivia question.

You have some news to share that we're going to get into.

But before we do that, I have a trivia question for you that I was looking back at as we were getting ready to do this interview today, which is, do you know how many times you've been on the podcast before?

I have no idea.

I was actually thinking about that.

I was like, have I...

I was trying to think if I've ever, like, I feel like I'm usually, like, the supporting actress.

No, you've been the star before.

You've been a

really cool friend.

I'm just

here to, like, I don't know.

If that's true, you've definitely won the Oscar for best supporting actress on a podcast at least once.

So you were the Glenn Close of this.

Can we use a less dated reference? I don't know.

Glenn Close was the name that came out.

I don't know.

Yeah.

I don't

know.

Like three, four?

okay so it is four before today this is your fifth time wow but the very first time it was our eighth episode ever in 2020 um very distinctive year you came back for episode 54 uh to talk rum orange orange day with us right um episode 100 you're one of the 12 people we interviewed it's kind of like a compilation episode and then episode 151 that's a fun number to be on uh with brett cozen from pm spirits to taste the flag series casks with us earlier this year so what a journey right

what a journey that's so cool oh what an honor

I think that qualifies you as a friend of the show, by the way.
