S3 Ep 9 - Monterey Car Week Special Episode, all the big sales and results plus what's selling and what's not

What a big week.

I mean, coming off the back of Monterey Car Week and incredible results over there.

We want to talk about that today.

We're going to talk a little bit about just some stuff that we've been doing.

But really, this is the Monterey Car Week show.

First of all, some trends.

Josh, I think fair to say that high-end supercars and later model cars powered a tremendous result for the week overall.

Yeah.

Seems to be the case.

It's amazing to see how many Enzos in the world actually exist because I think they were all at car work, every single one of them it felt like.

Yeah, right.

Change the channel to a different auction house, Ferrari Enzo.

It was amazing.

So, yes, high-end modern supercars definitely dominated the auction block.

It was $750 million worth of cars sold.

it's just extraordinary so that's up from 2025 at about 400 or 430

million i think it's 70 odd percent increase over 2025. that's

just insane i mean here you go guys you we hear the market soft and then you see that and think what the hell um it says a lot for perhaps what's going on politically here in australia but the u.s market is certainly just absolutely pumping

Yeah, and I think also the clearance rates were fairly high this year compared to previous years as well.

Sell-through rates were also up around 80%, depending on which auction house.

So certainly indications of a strong market and certainly in that high end as well.

Well, we might as well knock it on the head early.

The Ferrari Luce for $40 million US.

I saw that, and I couldn't wait to tell you guys that the highest-priced car, and it's actually not the highest-priced car.

There was actually a car that sold for slightly more than that.
