In this episode, Grant and Bill discuss: \-What Costco is doing and its implication for those retiring \-If AI knows best when it comes to your medicare choices \-Inheritance. A simple mindset…
I wanted to talk about this because we kind of were talking about it off the air and I thought it was funny because, you know, Medicare, big deal in retirement, right? And we both are familiar with Costco, right? And I was like, you know, I don't know if you'd heard that Costco is now going to get into the Medicare business.
I got an email and I realized it's because I'm the one of the two of us that's about to go on Medicare.
it probably makes sense.
But yeah.
But it's kind of interesting with Medicare Advantage programs, Bill, the progression that I've seen in my career around Medicare and the expansion and then the retraction in terms of what the options were back in 92.
And then they expanded again with Medicare Advantage programs, giving people more choices.
This is an interesting one that Costco is getting into it because I don't know how this is going to look in the future with Medicare Advantage.
And this is just a personal opinion, something that I've just gleaned from what's happened with Medicare, Medicare supplements, and then Medicare Advantage programs and prescription drug plans and all of the things around your second largest expense that you're likely going to experience in retirement.
Well, with this, Costco getting into it, it probably is going to help in terms of additional options.
But I don't know that I really like it for most seniors, in my opinion, just because there's so many options for people to weigh.
