*I’ve figured a few things out during my 52 laps around the sun.* Most of the things I’ve learned have come with lessons. Some, harder to endure than others. But all of them have made me who I am…
My thoughts, though, about... you know, uh, topic for today's podcast is just, you know, some ideas and some thoughts and some things that I've picked up over 52 years.
So I feel like I'm at that age where I have a little wisdom.
If I was in a different set of scenarios with, uh, grandchildren, I know people that are 52 sometimes have grandchildren already.
In fact, some of them probably have teenage grandchildren at this point.
I don't have any and probably don't have any on the horizon that I can think of.
Um, Our son's not in a relationship.
He's not dating anybody currently, and he's pretty young still.
He's going to turn 24 at the end of this month, another October birthday, which is cool.
So, yeah, he's not looking to give us any grandchildren anytime soon.
My middle child says that she doesn't want any.
She's never dated a person in her life, never been on a date that I can think of.
Uh, she is too focused on her pre-medical, uh, course of, uh, college.
She's a junior headed towards senior level and straight A's just driven, driven, driven.
Her main goal is being able to support herself in life without a partner.
Cause she just has no romantic feelings at this part of life.
She's 22 and again, has never dated anybody.
Um, By choice, I certainly think she could easily date anybody she wanted.
She's just talented and wonderful and a cool kid.
So it's not for lack of options, it's lack of desire.
And then my youngest daughter is a lesbian, so for her to deliver grandchildren, it would take a little doing.
So she'd have to either adopt or have the in vitro or whatever it's called, the artificial insemination to have a child.
But she is also in college currently.
I think she is actually a senior status, just a little ahead of my middle daughter.
Middle daughter took a semester off to go to Japan to study, but it didn't help her with her credits.
So anyway, and my middle daughter or my youngest is going into the – Mental health field, she wants to be a counselor.
