Supergirl's Director ADMITS He Ignored the Comics 🤬

Folks watching this show know I am firmly of the belief the writing has been on the wall for the DCU the moment that Paramount won the bidding for Warner Brothers.

So I actually don't think This movie's fate will be a make or break moment.

I tend to think this movie will be more like dirt on the coffin in the grand scheme of things.

But this movie is indefensively bad.

Indefensively bad.

I don't...

I don't...

It's been a moment since I've been this offended by an effort in this genre.

And I say that because of who was behind it.

So the grading to me is a little different here.

Because of the fact that James Gunn is steering the ship.

That the writer of the source material, Tom King, is in the writer's room.

That this is big screen outing number two for the DCU after Superman.

The standards by which I think we should be measuring this film here in 2026 are simply different than, say, if this was The Incredible Hulk in 2008.

It's just a different place.

And so by all the measures, and I can't wait to get into them, this movie is a failure.

An utter failure.

And to me, if you... can legitimately defend this and hold this up as some sort of success or example for the genre, for the DCU.

I do not know what movie you watch.

Shout out to Superhero Breakout because he's a real big fan of the superhero genre and he expresses himself like us, as far as being a fan and wanting the genre to succeed.

And he expressed this, which I think is representative of of the fans like us who are not just simply giving ourselves the Barry Horowitz because we told you so, but because this is a setback, yo.

Yeah, we don't want it to fail.

That's the thing.

Don't interpret it.

We don't want any of these to fail.
