Yo! Mikey @TheDangerousMaybe and Sean Hail, the Shining Future! are…
why is twin peaks so good not the restaurant the show I started re-watching Twin Peaks yesterday, and I've been hooked on it.
I just sit there loving every minute of the show.
It probably is my favorite show of all time.
There's a couple other contenders, but I'm always quick to say it's my favorite.
I just think watching it right now, there's a way in which it kind of resonates because, I don't know, the stuff with AI and everything you see going on, Sam Altman and all this, about what I like to call omni-surveillance.
He thinks it's great that in six months we're going to have an AI that can basically record every single thing you do throughout the day and give you advice and insights as you go along.

Is it the outside is flooding in, or is it the outside is being purged? You know what I mean? Like if I'm thinking of the outside in terms of like similar to the real, which I know that they're different because they're coming from totally different places.
But if you do think of them as similar, you see what I'm saying?
Like, and I think that the
super, the super ego I see is like kind of like a purging of, of the real and like a,
Totally agree if we mean by real, are real.
But if we mean by the outside, these human-threatening agencies, then that's what I'm talking about with Twin Peaks.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
The other gods.
I mean, the real is on the side of the human, right? That's the difference is that the real is a dimension of, for lack of a better term, human experience or the human condition.
Whereas the outside is precisely what is outside that, right? So there is a weird sense where, yeah, the outside from our perspective is in the real or proximate to the real.
because it's that which our symbolic order can't fully appropriate.
