This week, Supper with the Super is basically doing double duty as What the Hell Is Going On With That? — Montclair Schools Edition. We sit down with Montclair Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Ruth…
It was on Monday morning, just a block from Bullock Elementary School and shortly before students were due to arrive.
It was an operation that startled residents and left local officials seeking answers about what happened.
Video obtained by the Montclair local shows agents wearing ice enforcement and removal operations vests, handcuffing two men near a pickup truck in the fourth ward.
Witnesses said that four men were detained in all and that one of the truck's windows had been smashed.
So you can imagine, you know, how startling that can be as you're making your way to school.
According to the local Montclair, police said the department had not been notified in advance of the federal operation.
Mayor Renee Baskerville said she was, quote, deeply concerned by the incident, while Deputy Mayor Susan Shin Anderson contacted Montclair's congressional representatives seeking assistance.
ICE had not responded to the locals' questions about why the men were stopped, whether charges were filed or where they were being held.
The incident follows the detention of six people in the Montclair area back in August, including two workers from Raymond's restaurant.

I mean, they should be coordinating with local law enforcement, although we're considered a sanctuary city.
