Mizzou puts on a pathetic show in a pathetic win over Troy. But at least Mizzou is now the 1960 National Champions! See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and…
We are coming to you following the Missouri victory at home over the Troy, check notes, Trojans, not Bearcats, 27 to 17.
I mean, when I watched this game, that's what I took away from it was Mizzou's coaching staff I'm sure preaches all the time, "Don't overlook anybody.
This, these guys, like, these guys can jump up and bite you." But it was all just a bunch of fuck, fucking talk, 'cause it's pretty obvious that the coaches, uh, took for granted the Troy Trojans, said, "Hey, this is Bearcats, and we're gonna overlook you." And, uh, this is not just your normal Bearcat team.
A, uh, a, uh, they're, they're, you know, favorite, I think, to win the Sun Belt.
And, uh, but I mean, even if you're a really good Sun Belt team, you should more or less be cannon fodder for an SEC team that's, s- you know, wants to be competitive for a playoff spot.
But I'd say if I'm gonna put salve on the wound is I really just feel like it's one of these games where the coaching staff's gonna go back and like, "Oh, we kinda, this is on us.
We thought we were just gonna run through another vanilla game plan and just let our talent do the work, and these Bearcats were too good to get away with that.
And they punched us in the mouth a little bit." And I hate zone, uh, defense, and, uh, you can take it from there.
[laughs] Well, uh, you made it quite clear your feelings about zone defense, and I noticed that right away.
I mean, obviously the second play from scrimmage, Missouri, uh, gave up a long-ass touchdown bomb and went down 7-0 as our secondary, as I was complaining about last week, was out of position and made a horrible play on the ball and, uh, just let them romp down the field for, like, 67 yards.
I am, and continue to be, nervous that all the big bombs that we have been letting go, particularly two years ago, it's gonna revisit.
I, I just, you know, I know we had, kind of had a, I don't know if we had a difference of opinion or you were less concerned because you were going on and on about counting to three and how people get open and blah, blah, blah, and I was like, "I'm not seeing somebody scrambling to get guys open.
