Mizzou's field goal unit is just not great this year.

I mean, Blake Craig's back-

Mm-hmm

... and he has the range and he can hit it from 50 yards away, but just the whole oper- uh, still, the operation, I don't know what it is.

Mm-hmm.

But, but Blake Craig missed some big field goals.

And I said-

Yeah [laughs]

You get inside Ole Miss' 30, you better score.

Uh, if, if I see Blake Craig running out, kicking as many 45, 50 yard field goals as he has been the last three weeks, I think Missouri gets beat, 'cause I don't think you can win this game with 24 points and with field goals.

So, uh, they, they cross mid-field, they need points.

This team just has to start a lot faster too.

I'm so sorry.

Is it Blake Craig? [laughs] But if either kicker just trots out there and just the final, you know, the final whisper of this game is a game winning field goal, and then six points was too many points.

I would definitely take Missouri plus six.

I think I wanna take Missouri to win the game anyways.

You need to get the team not as close to midfield, because with teams with good offenses, they will pounce on that.

And of course, Blake Craig is still a concern, as he's only made 10 out of 15 field goal attempts at the end of the first half.

His 39 yard kick was blocked.

So that is a concern.

for the Tigers this season really impressive stuff and really if you look at what Missouri's doing well they're passing the ball well obviously they've ran the ball well especially the past couple of weeks the run game seems to be getting better the defense has been outstanding the past couple of weeks really about the only thing to really complain about right now the field goal unit, and yet the field goal unit has had its moments as well.

Four 50-yard-plus makes in the last couple of ballgames by Blake Craig, and yet a 39-yarder blocked.

That's his third blocked kick of the season, a couple against the Jayhawks, of course.

What's up with that? I mean, you'd think, if anything, you're getting longer kicks blocked, but it seems like the intermediate ones are the problem right now.

And as I was sort of alluding to there, it really seemed like that 39-yarder that was blocked, to me, just looking back at the kick several times there, just looked like it was mostly a matter of Blake Craig not getting the ball high enough.

I'm not saying the blocking was perfect up front, but it seemed good enough to me, especially on a 39-yarder.

Just for whatever reason, the ball didn't seem to get high enough there on that particular kick.
