The maddering circuit, the first time we have seen this circuit appear on the calendar.

And also a fun fact is they were doing some practice or I think it was uh like gp some other grand prix basically was racing on it and there was like 19 red flags which is where you have to clear the track get everyone ready and then go back out again which is mental so it wasn't looking like it was going to be a great circuit going into the formula one weekend but it did turn out to be pretty exciting uh it's not the most crazy circuit for overtaking so lando norris was actually leading the race for the most part and there was a virtual safety car which actually played into the favor of Kimi Antonelli, which meant that he took the win home.

And you might be thinking, what on earth happened to Tadej Pogacar? Well, actually, it has been so long since we've done a proper news segment that I never reported on the fact that he crashed out in stage eight and broke his collarbone, which meant that he had to withdraw from the race.

Anyway, regardless, Enric Mas, I think, has been doing the Tour de Vuelta de España.

In World Athletics, we've had the first ever World Athletics Ultimate Championship, which quite honestly sounds like a computer game.

It's a new thing that we get to see people run fast and throw things far in, whether that's themselves or equipment.

um so in the ultimate championship the main headlines out of budapest were that josh kerr won the men's 1500 meters uh he ran a time of three minutes 29 seconds and 35 milliseconds beating australia's cameron myers into second we also had georgia hunter bell who came incredibly close in her 1500 meters she ran at 357.72 and she came second by a mere 0.176 seconds which is Like, that is tough.

So Alexander Zverev beat Ben Shelton in four sets, 6-3, 7-6, 5-7 and 6-2. in the men's US Open final.

It's Zverev's second Grand Slam title, having also won the French Open earlier this year.
