EP. 108: Hardcore Texas Duck Hunting with Ernest Gonzales of Feet Down Waterfowl

It's been pretty crazy busy around here.

I'm not sure how much I updated you on the last couple of episodes, but lots going on with my family.

My daughter's gonna be moving out of state.

I've got the logistics that are going on with that, so it looks like the next couple of weekends, that's what I'm gonna be doing, getting them all set up in their next phase of life.

Uh, my youngest daughter's taking a job in New York City.

That's been a big dream of hers.

It's been fun to watch the process.

Um, a little nervous as the father and, uh, you know, coming from a small town, that's gonna be a big change for her.

But as I mentioned before, she went to college in the city of Pittsburgh here in Western Pennsylvania, uh, not too far from our little town here.

But, um, she's got a good head on her shoulders.

I'm excited for her.

And my oldest daughter's gonna be doing rotations, uh, in Ohio after med school for, uh, the Cleveland Clinic, so super excited for that as well.

It's gonna be a big change here for me and my wife.

Uh, it's-- we've kinda been empty nesters, but the kids have been close enough to be home, and we've seen them pretty frequently, at least a couple of weekends a month.

And, uh, always knowing they were...

You know, my oldest was an hour away, and my youngest was, you know, 30 minutes away.

That's, that's gonna be a big change.

But, you know, it's part of life and, uh, we're excited for it.

We're excited for them, and it's gonna be fun to watch this next chapter for them unfold.

I've still got some scouting trips on my list of things to do.

Uh, it's been a lot between work.

As I mentioned before, I'm on a 12-hour schedule at work now, which is great 'cause I, I get more days off during the week, but there's a lot of things I can't get done on the days that I'm working the 12 hours to kinda back up.

So, uh, just trying to keep all that going steady, you know, working a full-time job, bringing you a weekly episode here.

Uh, haven't missed one yet, 100 and whatever this is gonna be, 108 episodes.

Um, super thankful that you all keep tuning in and giving me the motivation to, to keep putting these out there.
