How do kids make friends at a new school? Is there a secret trick that makes everything easy? Should kids reinvent themselves when they arrive at a new place? All these questions (and more!) on this…
David HsuHost
My kids have been going to a school for six years, and then this year we pulled the trigger and they're starting a new school, or they started a new school last week.

New routine, new routine for the kids, new routine for mom and dad, a different commute in the morning.
out of your last school? Why did they why were you forced? Is it a new school? They have new identities as well.

Why does any outlaw have to leave town on a moment's notice? We I mean, you and I and our listeners, we've talked about my kids school for on and off for years without identifying it, without identifying it by name.

But I think at some point, if you listen carefully, you can kind of tell that I'm not a huge proponent of really traditional Chinese learning.

I think last year when we did the back to school thing, I described my commute and how there's a construction happening near my house.

So I have to get through this construction, drop them at school and then drive 40 minutes to my office.

And I think given the balance of all that, we thought, OK, we should just switch it up and try it.

And we were very reluctant to switch schools because I remember switching schools as a kid.
