We've been moving through, and this is our second of three series that we will do in the book of Acts this year.
We'll finish the book a little later, but we're closing out our second season, as we've called it, and we've called this Acts on the Move, and we've seen the gospel bust out and travel to some places, and we have been to a lot of places this summer, haven't we, as we journeyed through this text? A lot of towns, right? Most of them have funny names, okay? Names like Iconium, Lystra, Lystra, still don't know how to say that one.
Apollonia, right? Okay.
I've butchered most of them.
Thank you for not.
Some of you have been kind enough not to make fun of me about that.
Some of you.
But today we're finally going to get to a city that is familiar.
Hopefully it's familiar to you.
It should be familiar to most of us.
Philosophers, big marble columns, and gods.
In fact, somebody once counted the statues in just the city of Athens, and they counted over 30,000 statues to gods.
But my wife did make euros this week, so I feel like I am...
