The Losers' Club: A Stephen King Podcast
Oct 17, 2026 · 1 hr 42 min · 26 segments
The Losers give a non-spoiler preview of Stephen King and Peter Straub's highly anticipated third Talisman novel, Other Worlds Than These, now available in stores. Shortly after, literal Constant…
This is Stephen King and Peter Straub's epic and unforgettable finale to the Talisman trilogy and a wrapping up of the fate of the world in King's iconic fiercely beloved Dark Tower epic.
It is also a magnificent standalone novel that will appeal to new readers as well as King's constant readers.
Other Worlds Than These is the story of Jack Sawyer, whom readers first met when he was 12, crossing America and the territories to save his mother's life, and met again in Black House where Jack faces a child killer and the Crimson King, among other evils.
In Other Worlds Than These, Jack must stop a rampaging gang of infected teenagers from Americicide and the forces of the mysterious Gullet at the edge of Midworld before it destroys our world and all worlds.
His quartet, echoing the world of Roland, is fraying and his task nearly impossible.
You guys probably talked about your relationship to the franchise a bit there.
But in case people haven't listened, were you highly anticipating this return to the territories?
I was, especially after revisiting The Talisman and Black House via audiobook, by the way, by the great, late, I think Frank Muller.
You know what I mean? I felt kind of how I felt when he put out that poll 15 years ago about do you want another Shining or do you want another Dark Tower book on StephenKing.com? Similar feelings.
And as I've mentioned a couple times over the last nine years of the pod, I'm not thrilled with the glut of Holly books.
So honestly, anything out of a Hollywood – that I can get, I'm happy to sample.
