Mark MarbleHostNot that that's a great surprise to either one of us, or for most people out there.
It's like, if you really expected Hal Jordan to be alive at the end of this, then you weren't paying attention.
But I don't necessarily know why that would have to be the case, especially because it's not like Jon is doing the backups or sending him to Oa.
Everything we get at the end of the show, there's no reason to think Jon's going to be doing that.
So there's not necessarily any reason why, unless we just believe whenever a new Green Lantern takes the ring, it's kind of like a hard drive wipe.
That's open to interpretation, just like it's open to interpretation with when Sinestro was talking about, hey, give me the ring.
Memory backup of Hal, make it into a living, breathing, full, conscious creation, or whether he was literally talking about resurrecting Hal's dead body.
suspect they give you that more for Hal Jordan fans to cling to than they ever have any intention of doing anything with it.
Unless they really plan to do something like Blackest Night, then obviously it would be a big moment to have Black Lantern Hal Jordan be a problem.
