I have heard some stories like that that are horrible.

Guys thinking they're recording the kill shot and then they're not.

Yep.

Man, there was a period of time where I was like, I'm going to try and be my own self-Remy Warren.

And it's mostly to look back and see some of my, you know, we get to hunt a bunch of Texas, so we shoot a bunch of deer.

And so I was like, man, I can start recording this.

I have a chance to, you know, shoot a lot of arrows, fling them at deer.

And the amount of times that I get so caught up in the actual hunt part that I'm like, I forget that the camera exists or that I should hit record just to look back and see where my arrowhead is.

Yeah.

That's a lot harder to do than it sounds when you're sitting around in June thinking about it.

Yeah, and Remy had a giant catalog of that stuff before he ever even did anything with it.

I remember him telling that story about...

Like, oh, yeah, I've got basically a whole pile of hunts filmed and edited and in the tank, like, ready to build a TV show.

Yep.

It's crazy.

Man, so I think I stumbled across his stuff before I was even really in the big game world.

It's like Texas, whitetail, and ducks was kind of like what we got excited about.

Yeah.

But I always looked aspirationally out west.

And I didn't have any folks that I knew who were big game hunters out west.

Right.

I would always watch him because he was doing the solo hunter thing.

And I was like, well, heck yeah.

If I'm going to go do this, I want to see what the solo hunter thing is like.

And then I realized how, man, some of this big game hunting is pretty tough to do by yourself.

And then to try and capture all that on film is.

Yeah.

Yeah.

It's next level.

You've

got to be excellent at the hunting aspect of it to then think about a camera and to do it all at once

and stay hit.

Right.

He does it with a stick bow.

Yeah.

You're getting within 20 yards of a mule deer and.

Yeah.

And, and older, like not, not the technology of the equipment we have today.

Right.

Where you can like, you know, just the meta glasses.

Yeah, you're like looking through the eyepiece.

Exactly.

It's like a small cooler that you're carrying around trying to record with.

Exactly.
