This week I caught up with competitive player and fellow content creator Theo, who you make know better online as @lorcanatheo . He and…
Yeah.
Yeah, it's funny.
You mentioned the whole nervousness aspect of it.
Because this game does draw in a lot of people that haven't played TCGs before, it's interesting to talk to a lot of the people that I talk to, honestly, to talk to them about it.
And they have the same kind of feelings, right? know it's it's that i don't know what to expect i you know i don't have the level of confidence that i feel like i need to have to go and you know actually play with other real people you know that aren't aren't the people i usually play with but um but yeah and you know the same thing it's it's the confidence boost of you sit down you start playing it's the same thing it's just against another person right exactly um you know and to to have that realization makes things, it just opens things up so much more.
Like you were saying, it kind of unlocked, I guess, parts of your life that you were kind of a little restricted about.
And you really got out there after that.
And there's a lot of people that that is kind of what these games do.
They provide that sense of community.
They provide that link.
And suddenly you say, oh, yeah, I can do these other things because I overcame that fear.
I went to an LGS.
I played in a set champs, that kind of stuff.
And it gives people that boost of confidence.
Yeah.
And it's fun, you know, so it's always it's a nice, pleasurable experience.
And, you know, and to be able to have that kind of thing in your life.
And, you know, I know you you go to your locals.
Is it once a week? Do you usually go?
Yeah, every Thursday.
Okay.
Yeah.
know and to have that kind of like that structure right you know to be able to have that group of people that you go and you start to get to know and you know you all love this game and so you build around that kind of shared passion and you know and then you start finding out about them and finding out about their families and their interests and you know you build up this whole community around you which is really cool in my opinion that you know, just silly little, you know, cardboard game can build that kind of thing around it and make such a difference in people's lives, you
know?
But yeah, it's that's cool.
Yeah.
