The Many Phases Of Pat Mastelotto

Yeah.

I don't know what Tony's doing this week.

He's emailed me four times yesterday about hotel stuff and flights for what we started – a tour with Stickmin.

We have a brand new record called Let's Thrack Again.

Sweet! And it's coming out kind of in stages.

Tony's been out with Beat with Danny Carey and Adrian and Steve Vai.

And they've just done two months in Europe.

So we did a pre-release in Europe for the Stickmin record that they could sell at the merch booth there.

Actually, Marcus Reuter is the third part of the band.

He lives over in Berlin.

So he just flew home when we finished this stuff.

He's home three or four weeks for his daughter to start school.

So, you know, Tony and I are both single daughter dads.

So we sympathize with Mark having to be gone.

But you're just starting grown up school, you know, first grade.

So I'm glad he got to be home for that.

We'll start the tour in Texas.

They're coming to my place.

We'll do two days rehearsal here because we're going to try and learn five or six songs off a new record.

We've recorded them, but that's different than playing them

live.

You mentioned the beat and the beats going out on, I think, what they classify as their final tour this winter.

And a friend and mate and drummer compadre of yours is taking over for Danny Carey, who's doing his tool duties.

Do you want to talk a little bit about your work with Terry Bozio and how much you probably love playing with him because he's a hell of a drummer? Yeah.

Yeah.
