So we're getting into Philippians, and I, I took a lot of time to navigate through this, and I, I prayed through how to bring this out in a way that can be helpful for your life and your journey.

What is it, what does that mean to rejoice in the Lord? When we talk about this subject, right, it's like, it, it, it's a phrase that gets used a lot.

Just have joy." And for so many of us, we're left like, "What does that even look like?" So let me try to break it down for you, help you out a little bit, be an encouragement.

Maybe just give some light bulbs that go off for you, and go, "Yeah, that makes sense to me.

That gives me some empowerment in walking through my own journey," because joy is a, a major component of the Christian life, but it seems so many struggle with it.

And I consider myself a certified expert on the joy, on, on the struggle of joy.

But I found that a compassionate and gracious learning of it and appreciating it, embracing it is, uh, something that's worth it.

So I'm sharing this with you from the trenches, and sharing it with you in a way that, like, I get the battle, I get the struggle in this all, especially when it comes to our mental health battles and just the heartbreak and emotions we're struggling with.

The good news is that Paul's writing this from a place of hardship, and we've heard him express a number of difficulties, things that you would think would steal joy out of his life.

But yet in the middle of that expression, he emphatically reminds them about the importance of joy and rejoicing in the Lord.

So we're in Philippians 3:1, and just this one verse that I'm gonna bring out, and he repeats this statement in Philippians 4:4, which we'll eventually get to Philippians 4 at some point.

But, uh, I wanted to bring that verse in because it's another repeat of this statement.

For me to write the same things to you is not tedious, but for you it is safe." And then in Philippians 4:4, "Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I will say rejoice." You see this thing emphasized, the statement brought out, uh, as, as an important reminder.

To write the same things to you is no trouble to me and is safe for you." I'll get to that last statement at the end, kinda help interpreting what he's saying there.
