But for early season advice, it can feel easy to overreach on waivers week one.

Didn't draft a tight end last year, usually don't, and I went all in on Isaiah Likely, and it did absolutely nothing for me.

Of course, he had that monstrous week one, and I thought he was going to be an absolute baller, but he didn't.

But there are other times where you can have certain guys go down, or based on what you see in the film of the games, if you have a strong conviction, spend your fast.

As the season goes along, people will end up holding premier handcuffs, so you're not really going to get the running back position.

Because oftentimes, even with buys, it'll get confusing and conflicting based on what's going on in your schedule.

But if you can get a startable player to add to your roster early on in a position that you're weak in, my opinion has always been to go hard early on.

Something else that we had talked about in the episode is don't draft players who are dealing with injuries.

It's also an advantage to you when you don't draft those players and you do get off to a hot start.

And your league mate who is now struggling, you can then buy the dip from them because they're emotionally frustrated from that draft pick not panning out and looking for a quick fix.

So I think it's really important to pay attention to injuries, watch the trends in the snap count for certain players who are coming back from injury, and then you can buy the dip on them to give yourself an advantage down the road on a player you believe in.

Some people that I'm identifying right now Who could be part of that is George Kittle, 49ers tight end.

He's probably going to start on a snap count, and he's going to build his way up.

But if he gets back to where he was, he can be a true positional advantage at the tight end position for someone who waited on tight end for a really long time.

But what if it takes him six weeks to get into a groove, eight weeks to get into a groove? You'll have a chance week four on a guy who took Neighbors in the second or third round, potentially starting with only one win, looking on the outside going in to get into the playoffs.

You might have to give away some premier capital But buying that ceiling for later on, if you believe in it, is something to pay attention to.
