May 2026 Check-In

Well, let's get into things, y'all.

Let's kick things off with our favorite games of our year, 2026.

For me, I'll just say, I was telling Ryan this in the pre-show, but I'll just kind of set the stage a little bit for my approach to this, because last year I felt like I was coming into these check-ins and I was kind of just saying the same games over and over.

Cause I was kind of presenting my rolling top three.

So this year I'm taking a bit of a different approach where for every check-in we'll, you know, we'll do another one of these in September, for example, I'm just going to give my top three of the things I played since the last episode.

So that at the end of the year, my list is a little bit more varied because Interesting.

So that's my plan.

But Ryan, why don't you go ahead and kick us off here with your number three.

Oh, geez.

I get to start things off.

This never happens.

Please.

I'm so surprised.

Well, first of all, a lot of contention this year.

I've beat 30 games this year.

So I've beat a lot of games

this year.

Already.

well actually i did i'm looking on backlog didn't realize i didn't add megaman 4 on game or megaman 4 on nes which i replayed uh so that's technically 31 but um you know i i really don't like to you know i haven't really replayed a lot of games this year a lot of these are brand new to me games okay uh which is pretty exciting because i always love um when that happens in fact i'm looking over kind of my backlog screen of all my different ratings kind of for reference here but I played a bunch of, you know, random stuff this year.

In fact, Seth, I would be surprised if you haven't finished more games than me this year.

Cause I think, I think you've played a whole bunch of stuff.

I have played a bunch of stuff.

Yeah.

I don't, I just don't know the number.

I guess I could find out.
