St. John's Book of Revelation - Chapter 1, Part 1

I've been mopped up on Satan's cold floor.

more i spent years in the tears of my terrorists refusing to enter my door but i walked the lamb's way and my soul did it safe for i'm on the wheel no And now I look down from the center Near those seven stars of the four And I tell you no lie From this gold thrown on high Almighty Father,

We give thanks for the revelation given to your servant, Saint John, who has shown the things that must come to pass and commanded to bear witness to the truth.

We thank you for the vision of heaven, for the throne of God, for the lamb who was slain and yet lives.

and for the promise that Christ shall overcome all darkness.

Lord, grant us the wisdom to understand St. John's revelation without fear, pride, or deception.

Open our eyes to its warnings and its signs, its mysteries and promises.

Keep us faithful when evil appears powerful.

Give us courage when kingdoms rise and fall, and strength when the world is tested.

May we remain among those who keep your commandments and hold firmly to the testimony of Jesus Christ.

We remember the words revealed to St. John, and the power of evil will not endure.

And the power of evil will not endure.

That Babylon will fall and that the beasts and the forces of darkness will be defeated.

and that Christ, the King of kings, shall reign.

Lead us beyond the darkness to the holy city, the new Jerusalem, where your glory shines without end, where there is no more death, sorrow, crying, or pain, and where you make all things new.

Father, keep us faithful, keep us watchful, keep us ready, and with St. John and all who await your kingdom, let our hearts proclaim, even so come mighty Lord Jesus Christ.
