THE LIFE OF FAITH: The Action Of Faith - Ps Lachlan Jones

I don't know about you, but I'm an action guy.

I love sitting down and talking.

I love sitting down and learning.

All those things are good, but there's this part in me that's like, let me get in the game.

Come on, let me get into the action.

Is there anyone who's like me who's just like, I've talked enough, I've listened enough, let me get into this thing.

I just love getting into the action, and this is how Jesus works, friends.

If you look in the Gospels, how Jesus calls his disciples, goes to fishermen, tax collectors, zealots, and he says, hey, follow me, and I will make you into fishers of men.

Anyone here who's been following Jesus for more than 10 seconds knows that your faith of following Christ, your life of following Jesus is not meant to be a stagnant faith.

It's not meant to be a stuck faith.

It's meant to be one where you believe in who Jesus is revealed in his word and you follow him.

And I believe there are gonna be people today and you make a decision today to follow Jesus into the life that he has for you.

This life of faith.

Faith is given to us by God.

I've touched on this in the last couple of weeks, but Hebrews 12 too says, looking to Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith.

Anyone here thankful that there is a God who says, I'm gonna start something in you and I'm gonna commit to you.

The work I'm gonna start in you, I'm gonna commit to it.

Philippians 1.6, he who began a good work is gonna bring it to completion.

This is such good news.

This is why Christianity, this is why the gospel is revealing the only God in the world because there's a God who's committed to the journey of faith in our life.
