Today I'm talking to Dr James Meadway, an economist and podcast host who has worked as an economic advisor to the UK's shadow chancellor on international development and climate change at the UN, and most recently as the co-director of new progressive think tank Verdant, working on social and environmental justice issues.
He's a progressive economist who focuses a lot on bringing and integrating social and environmental issues into economic thinking and I spoke to him about how to get neoliberalism to value the environment and whether capitalism can ever solve the climate crisis.
