I'm a sex journalist, a sex podcaster, and I told some new friends the other day that I've been reviewing sex toys professionally for 14 years, and the way that they reacted to that was so funny to me.
Yeah, the length, the 14 years was probably not what they were reacting to, but yeah.
It's just, it doesn't seem like a job that should exist for any time at all, let alone that many years.
I'm a sex educator and porn maker, and I have been doing all sorts of sex-adjacent work for the past 14, 15 or so years.
... maybe adding another notch under and around my belt, um, in this genre of gig in the near future.
But all of that is to say I've been thinking about what it is that draws me to this genre of work in general, and all of the weird particulars that come with it.
Uh, so I thought it would be fun to sit down and talk to you today about just the sex-adjacent work that we do, uh, and all of the weird industries that we've found ourselves in, and kind of the, the common thread between all of this.
Uh, so I guess the first thing I would ask you is what kinda draws you to working around and in sexuality in general?
