I just have a big book sitting next to my bed holding up, uh, next to the light, holding the water bottle.

And at the end of my relapse, I'm on my knees in my bedroom begging God to stop the pain.

If that means I die tonight, I, I wake up tomorrow, I d- I don't, I don't care.

Um, I had, um, zero desire to drink and full authority to drink, which was a strange combination.

Um, I didn't recognize any of those feelings or any of that until much later when I looked back and I was doing the steps with my sponsor, and we were talking about the spiritual experience and, uh, reading the book and talking about the psychic change and where that took place.

And it-- I feel as though most of the time it's, it's me looking back to see what happened when I actually recognize the magic in the rooms or the magic in my life.

And, um, oddly, I've gotten better of opening my eyes and paying attention to the magic around me.

Um, and that's where the hiking comes into play, or gardening, or being a part of nature.
